1. Introduction
Welcome to Cleaning Btown Indiana. By using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
2. Services Offered
We offer a range of cleaning services including:
> Residential Cleaning: Standard Cleaning, Deep Cleaning, Move-In/Move-Out Cleaning, Student Room/Apartment Cleaning, Cleaning for Seniors
> Commercial Cleaning: Retail, Showroom, and Personal Service Industry, Office Cleaning, Medical/Dental Facility Cleaning, Real Estate Cleaning
> Post-Construction Cleaning
> Event Cleaning
> Other Services: Vacation House Checking, Organizing and Decluttering Services
3. Service Area
We serve Bloomington, Indiana, and some nearby surrounding areas.
4. Payment
We kindly ask that all payments be made on the same day as the service via Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal. Please note that we do not offer refunds. If you find something that wasn’t cleaned to your satisfaction, just let us know by text or call within 6 hours after the service is completed. This timeframe is important so we can assess how the area was left and ensure that nothing has become dirtier due to everyday life. Addressing concerns promptly allows us to see what we may have missed clearly. We’ll be happy to return and resolve the issue within 24 hours to make it right! Your satisfaction is our priority!
5. Late Payment Policy
Payment Terms
All payments are due at the time of service. We appreciate your prompt payment to help us maintain our quality of service.
Late Payment Fees
Payments received 4 days after the due date will incur a $25 late fee. After this initial 4-day grace period, a 2% interest fee per month will be applied to any outstanding invoices.
Please note that if payment is not received within a reasonable timeframe, your account may be turned over to a collection agency.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your payment, please feel free to contact us.
6. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance via phone call or text to accommodate other clients effectively; a $50 fee will apply for cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance, although this fee is waived in the case of an emergency. If we need to cancel your appointment due to an emergency, we will reschedule it at no charge. If your home is locked and we are unable to perform the service after waiting 20 minutes, a $50 fee will be applied. Please note that rescheduling is subject to availability. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation; if you have any questions or need to discuss your appointment, please don't hesitate to reach out.
7. Liability
We carry insurance for accidental breakage, but we strive to prevent it. We do not take responsibility for “booby traps,” such as unstable items or pictures not hung securely. Customers should remove unstable breakables or relocate them to areas not being cleaned. Expensive objects, collections, figurines, glassware, or any valuable artwork should be relocated or skipped if the risk is unacceptable; please indicate this before cleaning. We will cover the cost of repair or replacement for verifiable breakage, which may involve professional restoration. To report breakage, please do so within 24 hours; if not reported within this timeframe, we will NOT cover any damage. Please retain the broken item for inspection.
8. Winter Weather Policy
During the winter season, in the event of inclement weather, we will follow the closing and delay decisions of Monroe County Public Schools or adjust based on road conditions. Ensure that your driveway, parking lot, sidewalk, and/or entrance are accessible to avoid cancellation or rescheduling fees.
9. Arrival Time
Arrival time for services is always an estimated time. For accounts without specific arrival time preferences, we may arrive at any time on the scheduled cleaning day. The cleaning crew might arrive earlier or later than the scheduled time, but we strive to adhere to the appointment time. If the cleaning has to be moved by more than an hour, you will receive an updating message by text.
10. Customer Obligations
>Preparation: Pick up as much as possible, including clearing floors of clothing and toys and surfaces of small items like pens, coins, and important documents. We will handle countertop appliances and small furniture pieces.
>Temperature: Set your A/C temperature to 68-72 degrees F, especially during the summer months. We cannot clean in houses that are too hot, which pose a safety risk.
> Pets: Inform us of any arrangements for your pets during cleaning. Secure any pets that may be overwhelmed or pose a threat, and manage pets to prevent escape. We do not clean up after sick pets or pet accidents. The responsibility for the control and care of all animals on the premises rests with the customer.
> Restrictions: Our cleaning technicians do not climb higher than a two-step ladder, disassemble light fixtures, shower door seals, furniture, or appliances (except oven racks and fridge shelves). We also do not lift or move heavy furniture over 15 lbs., large fragile items, remove permanent
stains, perform carpet steam cleaning, wash walls, or hand-scrub/steam clean floors.
11. Hazardous Situations
We are not an extermination or mold/biohazard remediation company. We reserve the right to refuse
to clean (or immediately stop cleaning) if there are signs of hazardous situations, including:
> Pest infestation (e.g., cockroaches, bedbugs, fleas)
> Animal infestation (e.g., birds, mice, rats, bats)
> Excessive/uncontrolled mold growth
> Human waste, blood, or bodily fluids
> Hoarding
> Other hazardous situations
In such cases, a lock-out fee of 50% of the scheduled cleaning will be charged.
12. Non-Solicitation Agreement
We value our employees and invest heavily in their training and development. To protect our investment and maintain service quality:
>Customers and employees agree not to directly hire Cleaning Btown Indiana employees or independent contractors for one year after employment termination.
> If you hire a Cleaning Btown Indiana employee or contractor for private work, a $2,500 fee will be assessed. This will result in permanent termination of service and forfeiture of any unused gift cards, in addition to the $2,500 fee. We also reserve the right to seek additional damages for solicitation-related issues.
13. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers expire one year from the purchase date and are non-transferable. ID will be checked for verification.
14. Privacy Policy
We collect personal data for the purpose of providing and managing our services. Your data is protected and used in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
15. Recurring Services
For ongoing or subscription-based services, terms will be outlined in a separate agreement.
16. Dispute Resolution
We believe in open communication and are here to help! If any issues arise, we encourage you to reach
out directly so we can work together to find a solution before involving formal channels. Rest assured,
any disputes will be handled in accordance with local laws. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we’re
committed to making things right!
We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Changes will be posted on our website, and
your continued use of our services signifies acceptance of the updated terms.

18. Health and Safety Risks
1. The Cleaner is entitled to undertake a job safety analysis before the commencement of any work to assess the health and safety risk at the Premises.
2. The home is to be set at a reasonable temperature for cleaners to provide services. Understanding OSHA laws for safe temperature settings must be adhered to in order to have service providers in your home. If your home is not set at a reasonable working temperature, we do have the right to refuse
providing services that day, customer will be charged a reschedule fee of $25.
3. The Cleaner may, either before or during the provision of the Service not use or cease using any materials or cleaning equipment provided by the Customer if the Cleaner thinks, in their absolute discretion, that the use of such materials or cleaning equipment poses a risk to health and safety.
4. The Cleaner may, either before or during the provision of the Service not provide or cease the provision of the Service where carrying out the Service presents, in the absolute discretion of the Cleaner, a risk to health and safety.
5. If a Cleaner becomes ill, they will not enter your home. A staff member who has had a fever within 24 hours of a work day will not be able to work. If you, the Client or a family member is ill in the home with fever or flu-like symptoms, we kindly ask you to notify us as soon as possible to reschedule the cleaning.
19. Add-On Services
Please note that all additional services must be discussed and priced prior to our cleaners' arrival. An in-person estimate is required for all add-on services. Costs are variable depending on the extent of the job, but here is a starting point for pricing:
>Cleaning Blinds: Starting at $10
>Cleaning Inside Cabinets: Starting at $50
>Cleaning Inside a Fridge: Starting at $30
>Oven Cleaning: Starting at $35
>Other Appliances Cleaning: Starting at $20
>Laundry Folding: Starting at $15 per load
>Laundry Washing: Starting at $10 per load
>Washing Dishes: Starting at $10, depending on the amount
>Window Cleaning: Starting at $10 per standard, easy-to-reach window
>Chandelier and Intricate Glass Fixtures Cleaning: Starting at $25 depending on size and accessibility
>Sweeping Garage and Cobweb Removal: Starting at $30
>Sweeping Deck, Sunroom, or Front Porch, with Cobweb and Dust Removal: Starting at $50, depending on size.
